Beans from Ethiopia has always been a challenge for me as a home roaster, more so preferring light roasts. The density of the beans due to their higher altitudes often tend to produce more earthier and harsher results when not roasted properly. Also, being naturally processed beans, they tend to produce more chaff with a lot of chaff not being removed during roasting process of a small batch home roasting machine. This would affect the end result of the cup I'm brewing or shot I'm pulling. I would highly recommend roasted to order by The Crackpots if you really want to enjoy the tasting notes as describe.
