Dasaya is a short form of Dawala Samayawi, which literally mean purple bellflowers. The Dasaya aims to remind drinkers of purplish or bluish fruit such as grapes and blueberry, as well as purplish florals.
To fulfil the Dasaya’s quality requirement, this batch of Dasaya is sourced from an extremely high altitude of 1900-2100m. The raw coffee itself has a very low defect rates, and the roasted version promises excellent purplish aroma and notes.
Like many other industries, the production and logistics of 20/21 harvest were affected by the pandemic. The impact can be seen in banking exchanges, land and sea transport, port congestions and severe understaff in most of the supply chains. With a reduced freight trip frequency, freight cost has naturally gone up following the supply and demand imbalance. It is fortunate that we are still able to source this amazing coffee without much delay.
